King Saul himself went to see a medium in secret (1 Samuel 28:3-20) to know his fate in an upcoming battle. The spirit who visited him, claiming to be the dead prophet Samuel, told Saul that because he had disobeyed God, he would lose the battle and die. Saul really took the spirit's words seriously, because during he battle he did die, by holding out his own sword and falling onto it.
Merriam-Webster's definition of a medium is, "an individual held to be a channel of communication between the earthly world and a world of spirits." When we put our trust in someone or something that claims to know something beyond man's understanding, we are walking on thin ice. When it is obvious that a source of divine knowledge is not coming from God, we should know who it is coming from by default. Please be careful where you get your information from, and when in doubt, pray to God for the wisdom to see whether or not someone/something is a heavenly source.
